We are a group of experienced gynaecologists who routinely undertake ​Advanced Laparoscopic surgery ("Keyhole" or "Minimal Access" surgery"), focusing on the highest quality service for all patients.

 

We realise that making a decision regarding gynaecological surgery can be a difficult time for women and that the information provided may be complex or confusing.

 

We aim to provide a resource for women to obtain appropriate information or advice on these surgical techniques and what is or is not feasible. Hence you will be able to choose a gynaecological surgeon with the technical skills and scope of practice that you feel are appropriate for your particular/individual condition.

 

Women will be able to ask their GP to refer directly to gynaecologists of their choice in their local hospital for further advice if required.

The inaugaral meeeting arranged in conjunction with Ethicon was held on Tuesday 6th May, 2014 at Malmaison Hotel, Newcastle Quayside.

 

 

The guest speaker was Dr Roger Searle who gave an excellent lecture on Female Pelvic Anatomy.

 

Future topics for discussion include (tbc):

 

  1. Management of laparoscopic bowel injury
